I'm Mike and since you're reading this you're no doubt been looking at one of the updates to Wikipedia that I've made at some point.

I am now living in New Zealand having emigrated from England.

Whilst fairly new to editing / creating pages, I've been using Wikipedia for quite a while, adopting the old usenet tradition of not jumping in with both feet until you've realized how things work.

I've quite a range of interests, which should be apparent from where I've edited pages, but I also love the random article functionality.

The WikiProject New Zealand has become a focus of my attention, especially in working on the pages needing work and the missing pages, although articles from anywhere may catch my eye.

There is also the WikiProject New Zealand - Vandalism patrol page which tracks recent changes to high vandalism pages which I keep an eye on from time to time.

The current New Zealand Collaboration of the Fortnight is 1981 Springbok Tour.
Every fortnight a different New Zealand-related topic, stub or non-existent article is picked.
Please read the nomination text and improve the article any way you can.
