Methodist High School
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Methodist High School (MHS) was established in Kanpur, India in 1873 in the Cantonment Area of Kanpur, right by the railway line. It has a large compound with three buildings: elementary school (primary-KG), Primary School (1-5 grades) and Senior School (6-12 Grades). The buildings are all brick and have a distinct British Raj architecture (the kind that you see in most old railway stations in India) — red brick, open verandahs, arches, etc. There is only one way to describe these buildings — simple and efficient, yet elegant. MHS is surrounded by beautiful lawns and gardens.
Methodist High School has been one of the premier English-medium educational institutions from the early 1950s in Kanpur.
Though its name has the words 'High School', the school provides education up to secondary level.
