Talk:Mexico, Missouri

I took out Segato Belcher, since it is unsourced and googling that name turns up nothing. If I have wronged Mr. Belcher, I apologize, but this looked like a prank.Fitzaubrey 04:33, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
As a resident of Mexico during the Cookie Belcher era, the problem you have is that you googled Segato Belcher, which is not his name in any significant context. A trivial search for Cookie Belcher will reveal multitudes of references to his time at the University of Nebraska where he holds several basketball records, as well as being 3rd on the NCAA all-time career steals list. He's noteworthy, at least in relation to a town like Mexico. Whether he is of note to the world at large is obviously debatable, which is why I haven't reinserted him into the main article. I would cast a vote for his inclusion though, if for no reason other than sentimentality. Amichel 22:02, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
