Michael Boatman

Michael Boatman (born 25 October 1964 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, raised in Chicago) is an American actor and sometimes horror writer.
Boatman made his acting debut, playing Motown in the 1987 feature film "Hamburger Hill". Following the filming of Hamburger Hill, Boatman, a graduate of Western Illinois University, spent 18 months honing his acting skills off-Broadway in New York. [1]
He is most famous for playing the roles of Carter Haywood on the hit sitcom Spin City, Private Sam Beckett on the acclaimed series China Beach and Stanley Babson on Arli$$.
He has had many notable guest appearances, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Less Than Perfect, Yes, Dear, Scrubs, CSI: Miami and Grey's Anatomy.
He's better known as an actor but sometimes moonlights in the horror genre. He is the author of several horror/comedy screenplays, the short story collection,GOD LAUGHS WHEN YOU DIE, many short stories and three novels.
