Michael Carr (born January 31, 1946) is a British politician for the Liberal Democrats.
He was previously a member of the Conservatives, but defected to the SDP and joined the Liberal Democrats on their formation. A local councillor in Ribble Valley, he won the 1991 Ribble Valley by-election for the party, but failed to retain the seat at the 1992 general election, coming second. He contested the seat at the 1997 election and the 2001 election, coming second again.
He stood again at the 2005 general election for the Lib Dems, this time for the nearby Rossendale and Darwen constituency, coming third.
