Michael Tornambe

Michael Tornambe (September 18, 1935 - February 8, 1974), was an Italian-born American Thoroughbred horse race jockey. After nearly losing his life in a spill at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland, Tornambe briefly stepped away from racing but soon returned to his mount.
He was killed in a horse racing accident at Waterford Park Race Course in Chester, West Virginia in 1974.
