Michelle Paver (born 1960) is a novelist of many books. The book that creates the most fame for her is the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness. She is currently finishing the fourth book in the Chronicle. [1]

Paver was born in Malawi (central Africa) to a Belgian mother and a father who ran a tiny Nyasaland Times in 1960. She moved to the United Kingdom when she was three, and grew up in Wimbledon and was educated Lady Margaret Hall. Following a biochemistry degree from the University of Oxford, she became a partner in a City law firm. When her father died in 1996, she ask for a 1 year vacation and travelled around, planning the draft of her first book, Without Charity.
