This article only talks about michigan avenue's magnificent mile. while it is important, there is also another stretch of michigan avenue further south known as Record Row. for instance, 2120 south michigan ave is famous for being the location of the famous Chess Record company. it's just one of the many important record companies that sprung up on michigan avenue that housed many of Chicago's famous blues musicians and artists.
I made minor changes to the first paragraph because only the part of Michigan north of the river was originally known as Pine Street. Icebox93 05:52, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
