Mike Carroll Jr.

Born in San Diego, Mike Carroll Jr. [1] is well known in the San Francisco Bay Area for his photo-realistic canvas art. Santa Clara Valley in The Fabulous Fifties [2] was a set of paintings by Carroll showing Santa Clara Valley , CA, now known as the Silicon Valley, from the late fifties to the early sixties. Some of this original work is on permanent display at the Mountain View, CA, public library [3].
In 1985, Carroll began the comic strip, Cest the Cop [4]. A weekly series ran in the Santa Clara American, Penny Cest was a San Francisco police detective assigned to solve a string of murders. As the series progressed later into the online story, A Travel Through Time [5], Cest teamed up with Cindy Taylor [6], a computer guru from the original series.
