Mike Erlandson

Mike Erlandson Vice President Government Affairs SUPERVALU INC. www.supervalu.com. Erlandson is a former state chairman of the Minnesota Democratic Party and served as Chief of Staff, 1993-2006, for Martin Sabo, a former member of the United States House of Representatives. He was a candidate to succeed Sabo in representing Minnesota's 5th congressional district. Sabo, who retired from Congress, endorsed Erlandson.
Erlandson faced a primary contest for the Democratic Party endorsement against three other prominent Democrats. Erlandson finished second to Keith Ellison in the primary on September 12, 2006. Ellison went on to win the general election.
Erlandson, who grew up in the Twin Cities suburb of Fridley, is married, has two children and lives in Minneapolis.
