Michael "Mike" Golic (born December 12, 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio), is co-host of ESPN Radio's Mike and Mike in the Morning.

He also serves as an analyst for ESPN and ESPN2's NFL studio programming, as well as for the networks' college football game coverage. Golic joined ESPN in 1995 as an NFL reporter/analyst for Sunday NFL Countdown. Since then he has worked as the color commentator for the Arena Football League (1996-98) and the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars pre-season games (1995-98). In 1998, Golic began serving as college football analyst for ESPN and ABC, and was an original analyst for NFL 2Night(now and better known as NFL Live, the five-night-per-week news and information program on ESPN2.

Golic is also the host of the long running syndicated sports highlights, bloopers and gag fest called The Lighter Side of Sports.

Before working for ESPN, Golic was a nine-year NFL veteran, playing defensive tackle for the Houston Oilers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Miami Dolphins where he accumulated 11.5 career sacks and 3 interceptions. He was picked in the tenth round in the 1985 draft, taken 255th overall by the Houston Oilers.

During his seven years in Philadelphia, he began his television career with a weekly segment on the Randall Cunningham Show. He received a Mid-Atlantic Region Emmy Award for his feature Golic's Got It.

Golic is a 1985 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, majoring in finance and management. He served as captain of the football team during his senior season and also wrestled for the Irish. A little known fact about Golic is that during his time at Notre Dame he spent several summers tourning Europe as a professional Jump Roper. He won several national titles as a speed jumper and placed 5th in the world championships.

He co-hosts Mike and Mike in the Morning with Mike Greenberg on ESPN Radio and ESPN2. Both Golic and Greenberg are protagonists of an Emmy winning cartoon series on ESPN.com produced by Animax Entertainment that derives from the radio show content.

On August 15, 2006's show, Mike Golic described Tony Kornheiser's appearance on the first Monday Night Football game on ESPN as "fine." Tony took offense at this comment and lashed out about Golic on that day's Dan Patrick Show, saying he was jealous he didn't get the job. Golic called in to the Dan Patrick show with his side of the story. Mike Golic claimed the next day he was never considered for the job and he meant no offense by the comment, but was just expressing his opinion on what he heard and saw. Golic said he did question how a person with no football experience would do as an analyst on Monday Night Football because of Dennis Miller's failure. He also said he didn't think anything Tony said was "earth-shattering", but he thought Tony was much better than Miller.

On January 16, 2007, ESPN announced that Golic along with Greenberg would be the network's number one broadcast team for The Arena Football League on ESPN. Such games would include ArenaBowl XXI.

Mike Golic is the brother of former football player Bob Golic, who is also a talk radio host at WNIR-FM in Akron, Ohio.

Golic is currently advertising ESPN College Pick'Em for Dr. Pepper and Dan Marino's Nutrisystem program, allegedly having lost over 50 pounds.

During the February 16, 2007 broadcast of Mike and Mike in the Morning (in which Golic had called off sick), Golic called in to the show and revealed that he and his family had possibly contracted salmonella from eating Peter Pan peanut butter. He also stated that he checked the jar and found the product code to start with "2111", which is the product code of the contaminated jars of peanut butter.

During the February 20, 2007 broadcast of Mike and Mike in the Morning, Golic's 17-year-old son Mike called in from Italy to reveal that he had verbally committed to play football at his father's alma mater, Notre Dame.
