Mike Hanke (born November 5, 1983 in Hamm) is a German professional football player who plays the position of striker. He and his girlfriend Jenny (Who is the former girlfriend of driver Fernando Alonso) have a child, a girl Janatha-Fey on March 15, 2007.
Hanke made his debut in the 2001/02 season of the German Bundesliga, for Schalke 04. He was transferred to VfL Wolfsburg during the 2005/06 season upon request by then-Wolfsburg manager Thomas Strunz.
He was first capped for the Germany national football team on June 8, 2005 at the 2005 Confederations Cup. The Germans drew 2-2 against Russia in that game. He netted his first international goal on June 29, 2005 against Tunisia, but was sent off in his second match against Mexico.
He was a member of the German squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, but missed the first two group stage matches due to the red card received in the Confederations Cup. He appeared as a substitute in the third place play-off.
