Michael Hentley is the administrator for the British overseas territory Tristan da Cunha, which is situated in the South Atlantic Ocean. He reports to Michael Clancy, who is the governor and is based in Saint Helena.
As the administrator, Hentley is head of government and acts in accordance with advice from Tristan da Cunha's Island Council which is composed of eight elected and three appointed members.
Hentley has lived on Tristan da Cunha since May 2004 with his wife Janis.[1]
