Mike Lehan (born 26th May 1972 in Marsden Green, West Midlands) is an English writer and director. He started his career in music during the early 90's working as a session musician and freelance tutor, but soon found a new career path when he was introduced to post production. From there it just took off and Mike has been writing and directing ever since producing some outstanding work like Cook's Last Voyage and Walkabout. Recently divorced, Mike has a daughter (15) Kerry and they both reside in Yorkshire.

[edit] Directing Career
Lehan's first directorial debut was in 2000 entitled Walkabout, a 15 minute short. He had shot smaller pieces while working in post production, but this was his first solo project.
Then in 2003 he wrote and directed the aclaimed Cook's Last Voyage shooting in Hawaii and Australia. This was the biggest production he had experienced and only his second major directing piece.
In 2004 he started the production Hawk Speed a 14 part television series telling the story of a motorcycle race team. This aired on one of the ITV channels in the UK. This had to be the largest production to date, filming in every major city throughout the British Isles, a shooting schedule of 18 months and one of his most successful projects yet.
Lehan has just finished writing an 8 part crime series and is currently penning two features titled Black and Resolution
