On 15th August the WikiProject Wikipedians for Decency (now renamed to WikiProject Wikipedians for encyclopedic merit) was established. On 17th August it was nominated for deletion. I have made my opinions clear: if some people disapprove of explicit images on Wikipedia and want to organize themselves, it's their own business.
I am not a member of the project. I may not completely agree with their goals; this is not to say that they don't have a point. I am creating this page to oppose the frivolous attempts at censoring this project, in the name of the policy that Wikipedia is not censored. (For the same reason, I have volunteered to host the project in my user space should there be a consensus for deletion.)
I have "Wikipedia is Democracy" written on my user page. If the project were deleted, I would have to change the caption to:
