[edit] Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath

I Believe We Have A Disagreement Over This Page. What I Am Trying To Do Is To Make The Page Look Better, By Removing An Eyesore Of Empty Space At The Very Beginning. Since You Seem To See Moving A Title Down As Vandalism, I Tried To Add A Bit Of Background To Fill Up The Space. You Moved It. Do You Understand My Problem, Or Must We Continue This Pointless Back And Forth?

The Sullier

What empty space are talking about? I don't understand. I've been moving the reception article to the bottom of the page because it belongs in bottom of the article. If you don't believe me, then check the feature and good articles we have on video games in here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Computer_and_video_games/Featured_articles --Mika1h 08:54, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Look Right Below The Table Of Contents And The "Story" Title. Between That And The Quote From The Game Is An Empty Space. Do You See? The Placement Of The Reception Article Does Not Matter To Me. It Was Created Solely To Make The Page Appear More Pleasing To The Eye. Understand?

The Sullier

I noticed it showed the empty space only on Internet Explorer. I use Firefox so it was fine for me. Anyway I fixed it now. Happy? --Mika1h 15:44, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

Thank You.

[edit] SeeSpace 2 Release Date

http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/data/188670.html

Actually I was sorta wrong - you posted FS1's release date. I've put both dates up now Lordkazan 19:16, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Simon the Sorcerer 2 move

Hi there, it seems you didn't follow the steps on Wikipedia:Requested_moves#Steps_for_requesting_a_page_move when reqesting move for Simon the Sorcerer 2, so I just delisted the request from Wikipedia:Requested_moves. Please list it again if you still wish to execute the move. Regards, Dijxtra 10:38, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Shenmueonline logo.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Shenmueonline logo.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:07, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Infobox changes

I've noticed you've been editing quite a number of CVG Infoboxes, changing things such as "ESRB: Mature (17+)" to "ESRB: M (Mature)" — which seems to give the viewer less information at a glance — and "[[Microsoft Windows|Windows]]" to "[[Microsoft Windows]]", although not doing the same for "Sony Playstation" or "Microsoft Xbox" — providing needless clutter. Perhaps you could provide some rationale for these changes, or maybe there was some agreement concerning the above which I've missed? Thanks for your time. – Quoth 23:32, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

I have been changing Sony PlaySation to PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox to Xbox whenever possible because they are the official names for those consoles. I usually edit Microsoft Windows to Windows because it takes less space and it doesn't clutter up the infobox if there are many platforms for the game. As for the ratings, almost all feature and good articles show them as T (Teen) or Teen (T). If you don't like it, change it back. I personally don't care for it one way or the another. --Mika1h 08:43, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

You're correct that it is less clutter to not list the brand, that's exactly the reason I posted the above, you removed the pipe to the correct article, instead preferring the longer "Microsoft Windows" (see diff.) I'm coming to you directly to say this, as opposed to just mass-reverting your changes — or such silliness — because I've noticed you've been doing it a lot, for a while, even if they're the only edits to a particular page you make. As both infobox examples say the rating should be expressed with the more descriptive "Teen (13+)", etc., perhaps you should be doing the opposite in that regard, changing (T) to (13+) and the like. I just thought I'd query you on these regards to help avoid any unnecessary work. – Quoth 03:52, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
It also came to my attention that you've changed links from years to their equivilent "year in video games" entry. While this is acceptable when clearly marked, it unfortunately breaks the automatic date adjustment that the WikiMedia software makes, which is why it's advised to avoid, and is what happened in your last Daikatana edit (see diff.). Sorry if it appears that I'm picking on you :p I thought perhaps you were unfamiliar with these issues. – Quoth 09:48, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Alien infoboxes

Hi we are discussing the two Alien infoboxes on the Alien talk page as I think they should be combined into one (people interested in the film may also be interested in the comics, novels and various games) and that if it was done along the lines of the Template:AVP one you did we could get the more information into Template:Alien using the same space. I'd appreciate your input on things. (Emperor 13:45, 17 October 2006 (UTC))

OK its done and it is the same size as the old Alien box but combines the two with more entries that were missing from the original. I've largely based it on your AvP template as that approach helps keep the vertical height down. (Emperor 16:24, 21 October 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Reference column count

Hi Mika1h,

Just so that you know, the CSS class "references-2column" can be used to make the reference list appear over two columns, so that you don't have to insert the column-count: 2; stuff manually; e.g.,

<div class="references-2column"><references /></div>

TKD::Talk 10:14, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. Didn't know that. --Mika1h 10:16, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:RichardBurnsRallyBox.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:RichardBurnsRallyBox.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 00:06, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Tekken2logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Tekken2logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
