Mile Jedinak (born August 3, 1984 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) is a professional Footballer. He currently plays as a central midfielder for the Australian A-League club Central Coast Mariners on a contract until 2008. Jedinak was first added to the Mariners' squad in the week leading up to their 2006 Pre-Season Cup play-off against Newcastle Jets, impressing and earning a call into the squad for the last ten games of the 2006-08 where he made 8 appearances. He is an Australian youth international, having played at the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championships in the United Arab Emirates, making appearances against the Czech Republic, Canada and the host nation. He was part of the Sydney United side that won the NSW Premier League title for 2006, playing an instrumental role in Midfield that earned him a trial with the Mariners. He is a strong, classy player that just keeps on improving and is very consistent, so much so that the Australian team has shown interest in him for the 2010 and 2014 World Cup qualifiers if he keeps getting better the way he is. A very popular player with Mariners fans, staff and players, he will be a great player for the Mariners down the track, similar to the ever-consistent and wonderful Alex Wilkinson, a good friend of Mile's and a teammate at the 2005 Youth Championships.
