Milestone Inc.

Milestone Inc. is a Japanese arcade videogame developer. They are best known for shoot 'em up games developed for the Sega Dreamcast (after the console's official discontinuation) and its arcade counterpart, the Sega NAOMI.

Milestone are made up of Japanese NAOMI arcade developers who left COMPILE to form their own company, mostly because Compile wasn't too interested in shooting games like in the past. Despite having worked for COMPILE, they are still a very new videogame development team, but they have proven to be able to pull off good ports to many home videogame systems and create very fun and appealing Shoot 'em up titles for both NAOMI and Dreamcast alike.

Their first release was Chaos Field in 2004, which was ported to Dreamcast. Later they ported Radilgy (Radio Allergy in North America) and released it on February 16, 2006. Both titles were ported for both the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube, with the later console seeing releases in North America by O~3 Entertainment. Their most recent game, Karous, is slated for release on March 8, 2007 on the Sega Dreamcast.

Milestone have stated that they don't think it's the last Dreamcast game and have contacted Sega to ensure that future Dreamcast games will be possible. [1]
