Mililani High School is the only public high school located in the town of Mililani on Oʻahu. Serving an enrollment of approximately 2,400 students in grades 9-12, MHS is considered one of the largest public schools in Hawaiʻi. In 2005, the high school held the distinction of holding the largest graduating class in the state.

Mililani High School's Athletics Department, led by Athletic Director Glenn Nitta, competes in the Oahu Interscholastic Association (OIA) in the areas of Football, Baseball, Bowling, Softball, Judo, Swimming, Cross Country, Track, Basketball, Soccer, Canoe Paddling, Golf, Tennis as well as many other activities. Mililani High School's Soccer Teams have been especially successful, often making it to the State Finals.

Led by Marissa Tanimura, Curtis Hiyane, Bryan Hirata, and Derek Ka'apana, Mililani High features a very talented and popular Music Department program. Admired as one of the largest music department programs in the state, Mililani High School's program consists of three bands, two orchestras, a chorus, and marching band with over 150+ students. MHS has been host to music guests, such as Dr. I-Bei Lin, of the University of Hawaii's Strings Program.
The Trojan Music has represented Hawaii and the United States in prestigious events such as the London New Years Day Parade, and received standing ovations at the Sydney Opera House and Harrow School in England.
Mililani High School is one of a few schools in the Hawaii Department of Education that offers an Advanced Placement "Music Theory Course"

Mililani High School is applauded as one of the first Public High Schools in Hawaiʻi to introduce Podcasting into its curriculum. Allowing for instructors to post lectures, administration to disseminate information, and most importantly, gives students a global stage on which they can proudly display works in the form of video/audio downloads.
