[edit] Administration
Dr. Jeffrey Matteson is the current principal at Millbrook High School who replaced Mrs. Anne Sainte-Germaine as principal in 2003. There has not been an assistant principal, or dean of students, following the 2006 split away from what is now the Millbrook Middle School.
[edit] Academics
Millbrook has been noted for its AP Classes, French, Music, and Art departments, although recently the instruction of French was partially removed from the curriculum.
[edit] Music
Millbrook High School boasts a broad music cirriculum, as administered by Mr. Craig Fryer and Mrs. Lynda Keech.
- The Millbrook High School Concert Band is conducted by Mr. Craig Fryer. With approximately eighty students, the Millbrook Concert Band performs at a few concerts every year, in addition to playing in a music competition every spring.
- The Millbrook High School Jazz Band is one of the finest in the area, also conducted by Mr. Craig Fryer. The Millbrook Jazz Band performs at many concerts and competitions throughout the year, both for the school and the community. Although most of the players in the Jazz Band are drawn from the Concert Band, some are students who are interested only in Jazz.
- The Millbrook High School Mixed Chorus is directed by Mrs. Lynda Keech. Considerably larger than the Concert Band, the Mixed Chorus performs in many of the same concerts in which the Concert Band plays.
In addition to the ensembles listed above, Millbrook High School also has a select choral group called the Mad Rigals, also directed by Mrs. Lynda Keech. Furthermore, Mr. Craig Fryer assembles and directs a pit orchestra when the need arises for the drama productions, often musicals.
