Millennium Square (Sheffield)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Millennium Square is a new square in Sheffield, England, created as part of the Heart of the City project. It lies in front and to the south of the Winter Gardens, and complements the Peace Gardens and the neo-Gothic Town Hall. It contains fountains in the shape of steel balls, to show off Sheffield's past in steel making, and to make a link with the fountains in the Peace Gardens themselves, as well as Sheaf Square, Hallam Square and Barkers Pool.
