The House of Isildur |
In J. R. R. Tolkiens universe of Middle-earth Minardil is the twenty-fifth King of Gondor.
He was the son and successor of King Hyarmendacil II whom he succeeded in T.A. 1621.
His reign was brief and turbulent. His Steward, Húrin of Emyn Arnen, would found the line of the House of Húrin, who became ruling stewards centuries later.
In T.A. 1634 he was at Pelargir when it was suddenly attacked by the Corsairs of Umbar and was unfortunately slain.
He was succeeded by his eldest son Telemnar.
