The Ministry of Environment and Waters Management of Romania (Romanian: Ministerul Mediului şi Gospodăririi Apelor) is one of the fifteen ministries of the Government of Romania.
The current Minister is Sulfina Barbu, member of the Democratic Party.

According to scientists, Romania drinkable water production may fall below demand by 2025, due to river pollution.[1]
Only 57-58% of Romania's population has access to safe drinking water. For comparison, the Sub-Saharan African median is 57% and all industrialized countries have figures of 100%.[2][3]
