Minor characters in Kim Possible

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page is for minor characters in the fictional universe of Disney's animated television series Kim Possible. Typically, these characters only appear once or twice, serve no purpose other than to further the plot, and are not specifically stated to be an enemy or ally to Kim Possible..

Contents

[edit] Amelia

Ron and Amelia
Ron and Amelia

Amelia is a minor character mostly seen in the first season of the series. Believed to have graduated from Middleton High by season 2, and implied to be the school's unofficial "beauty queen" until then. Amelia constantly brushes off Ron's attempts at flirting, but welcomes him into her popular circle during the episodes All the News and The New Ron.

Voiced by Carly Pope and later Tara Strong.

[edit] Brick Flagg

Brick Flagg
Brick Flagg

Brick Flagg is the star quarterback of the school football team. He however appears to be good natured and harmless, thus avoiding the stereotypical "jerk-and-bully" attitude that usually accompanies such characters. He is usually seen dating Bonnie. He is a year ahead of the other students.

He features most prominently in All the News when a deliberate misinterpretation of Ron's makes him Kim's boyfriend. Thus he's kidnapped by Adrenna Lynn in order to gain revenge on Kim and Ron for exposing her as a fraud. Other than that he is seen intermittently throughout the series' first three seasons. On one occasion he does show a violent tendency, in Exchange when his jealousy of the exchange student Hirotaka's popularity with the opposite sex leads him to pick a fight with his rival. Hirotaka simply avoided his punches until Brick wore himself out. Then Hirotaka simply pushed him down with a flick of the finger.

In A Sitch in Time Kim and Ron saw Brick in the original Middleton High School -- now a mind control center for Shego run by Bonnie -- near the front row. He's grown fat and is now bald. They never spoke to him and he had no dialogue at all. Once they succeeded in defeating Shego the entire timeline is erased.

In Season 4 Brick has moved on to college, "after seven years of high school" according to Mr. Barkin. He and Bonnie have also broken up.

(You may wonder how if he were so dumb and been in school for seven years how he could've been on the football team since academic eligibility rules would've forbidden it.)

Brick is voiced by Rider Strong, Will Friedle's (Ron) co-star on Boy Meets World.

[edit] Doctor William Jefferson Tuttle

Doctor Tuttle in Emotion Sickness
Doctor Tuttle in Emotion Sickness

A selfish inventor, Doctor Bortle is often a bit of a science absorbed hick. His devices often wreak havoc in Kim and Ron's lives, and he doesn't mean well. Bortle developed the supposed Moodulators and Mind Control Devices both of which affected Kim and Shego in The Twin Factor and Emotion Sickness. His motives are self-centered (considering he designed the Moodulators for no particular purpose), and his devices' negative effects are from misuse. Plus, Cyrus has never been one to truly accept the consequences of his inventions. His original intent for the Moodulator computer chips was to sell them on eBay Trailer Park Edition, although he never considered who might want to buy them or what they might want to use them for. He is a tad unorganized, as seen in Emotion Sickness when he failed to notice the Kimmunicator's presence until it took off.

[edit] Doctor Vivian Frances Porter

Name Season Debut Portrayed by Image
Doctor Vivian Frances Porter 2 Grudge Match Shawnee Smith
Dr. Porter appeared in a single episode during Seasons 2. She is a noted robotics authority who hid her true identity behind a pseudonym, and a robotic boyfriend named Oliver (whom she built), because she believed that she wouldn't be taken seriously as a scientist because she looked like a fashion model.

Prior to the start of the episode Grudge Match Dr. Porter was Dr. Dr. Fen's lab assistant, but she quit after she had enough of Fen's attitude, and of him taking credit for her work. However, after she left, Fen claimed that he had fired her because she "couldn’t keep up". He then framed her for the theft of an experimental robot that he was supposed to be building. Though this was really a ruse so that he could steal the robot, which she had in fact designed, for himself.

After being engaged to retrieve the robot, Kim eventually figured out who the real genius was and pointed out Fen as the fraud. Fen was arrested and Dr. Porter was awarded his position in the robotics lab.

She’s a fan of "Robot Rumble", which was founded by Oliver.

[edit] François

 "I hate North Platte!"
"I hate North Platte!"

A hairstylist who cut and styled Ron's hair in The New Ron. He later appeared in Rufus in Show when he lent Ron and Kim his poodle.

He is voiced by Rob Paulsen who does several other voices in the series.

[edit] Hirotaka

Hirotaka arrives in Encyclopaedia Dramatica.
Hirotaka arrives in Encyclopaedia Dramatica.

A cute Japanese exchange student in Exchange as Ron goes to Japan in his place. He quickly gains popularity with the girls which leads to a confrontation with Brick Flagg. He wins that fight without a sweat. Later he and Kim practice their martial arts styles with Kim ending winded and Hirotaka not breaking a sweat. Both Kim and Monique like him and even fight over him but they later find out that Bonnie was his "number one girlfriend".

He is possibly voiced by Brian Tochi.

[edit] Josh Mankey

The character is Kim's former love interest. Being an artist, musician, and overall popular student, Kim had a huge crush on him. In Season 3 it is revealed that Josh and Kim went their separate ways.

He is voiced by Breckin Meyer and later A.J. Trauth. Trauth co-starred in the Disney Channel Series Even Stevens with Kim's voice actor, Christy Carlson Romano.

[edit] Ned

Rufus and Negg attempting to warn Ron in So The Drama

Works at Bueno Nacho. He is the manager. He has very little dialogue except in the episodes Bueno Nacho and So the Drama.

Voiced by Eddie Deezen

[edit] Oh Boyz

Oh Boyz
Oh Boyz

They were once-popular boy band whose fame has gone away, their only fan being Ron. They were on the verge of breaking up when the Seniors kidnap them with the intention of putting Junior in the group. Ron is also kidnapped along with them. They use their dancing skills to get away from the laser cannons aimed at them and finally learn to work together as a group again.

The group is a composite of the boy bands New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees, Backstreet Boys, and N'Sync.

They are voiced by Justin Shenkarow as Dexter, Jason Marsden as Ryan, Joey Fatone as Nicky Nick , and Lance Bass as Robby, the latter two being actual members of N'Sync.

Interesting side note, Nicky Nick dated pop star Britina and had a highly publicized break up with her. This was obviously referencing the breakups of Timberlake with Britney Spears and the divorce of Jessica Simpson from Lachey.

Their unscrupulous manager Roland is voiced by David Cassidy of The Partridge Family.

[edit] Pain King & Steel Toe

Steel Toe, Pain King
Steel Toe, Pain King

The star wrestlers of the GWA and 'arch-foes' in the ring, they are actually good friends. They can be told apart by their costumes, which allude to their stage names -- Pain King wears a gold coronet, while Steel Toe has footwear made of titanium.

They are also the favorite wrestlers of Kim Possible's friends Ron Stoppable and Monique: on a fight night, Ron usually can be seen rooting for Steel Toe, while Monique prefers Pain King.

They are voiced by actual pro wrestlers Bill Goldberg and Andrew Martin.

[edit] Prince Wally

Wally's campaign poster
Wally's campaign poster

Prince Wallace the Third of Rodigan was a snobbish, spoiled and arrogant prince of the kingdom of Rodigan whom Kim was charged to protect from the Knights of Rodigan in Royal Pain, because of his ancestors' tyrannical behavior towards them. The prophecy read that the monarchy would end with him.

To avoid an untimely sad end, Wally stayed in Middleton at the Possible home, where he made a failing attempt to blend in and keep attention away from himself. After which he announced his candidacy for student body president. After Kim saved him from the knights, he decided to make his nation a republic and renounce his throne, but not before finishing his term as student council. Despite his intentions, he and his father haven't been seen since. However his decision to renounce his rights did fulfull the prophecy.

Prince Wally is voiced by Rob Paulsen. King Wallace is voiced by John O'Hurley.

[edit] Corporal Cleotus Dobbs

He was a soldier charged with guarding a Neutronalizer Ray in Mind Games whom Doctor Drakken kidnapped and switched brains with. Somehow he managed to contact Kim for help.

He was voiced by Dan Castellaneta.

[edit] Professor Acari

Acari explains his robotic tick to Kim and Ron.

Acari is an insectologist. Kim recovered his robot tick (that Drakken had stolen), in Tick-Tick-Tick. In return, he gave her a ride in The Full Monkey. Acari also made a surprise reappearance in Roachie. His former lab assistant, Chester Yapsby, stole his roflex (a device Acari had invented to increase the size of insects) and used it for evil.

Voiced by Maurice LaMarche.

[edit] Professor Ramesh

Kim attempts to save Ramesh from the Bebes.
Kim attempts to save Ramesh from the Bebes.

An astronomer. One of James Possible's old college friends. Kidnapped by Doctor Drakken's Killer Bebes in Attack of the Killer Bebes, as revenge for making fun of him in college, and fell victim to one of Drakken's "silly hats" in Showdown at the Crooked D.

Voiced by Brian George.

[edit] Professor Robert Chen

Professor Chen.

One of James Possible's old college friends. He is Ramesh's partner, and was the first target for the Bebe robots. He was saved by Kim and her dad.

Voiced by Gedde Watanabe.

[edit] Rabbi Katz

Name Season Debut Portrayed by Image
Rabbi Holokatz 1 Ron the Man Peter Bonerz
Oy vey iz schmear!

He appeared in Ron the Man. Rabbi Katz is Ron's rabbi who performed his Bar Mitzvah. Apparently he forgot to sign Ron's Bar Mitzvah certificate forcing Ron to question if he were really a man. Fortunately he helps Kim bring Ron to his senses.

[edit] Tara

Tara
Tara

Tara is a blonde-haired, blue-eyed cheerleader. She had a crush on Ron in the beginning but he doesn't find out until long after her interest faded.

Tara's voice actor is Tara Strong and also named after her voice actor.

[edit] Timothy North

Appearing in the episode The Fearless Ferret, Timothy North is a former TV actor who had played the role of the titular character on the TV show "The Fearless Ferret", a TV superhero in the vein of the Batman TV show from the 60's. However, his show was canceled after two seasons, so he used his money to duplicate the set. Over the years, North had actually believed that he was the Fearless Ferret, and, as such, disappeared into his delusions.

When Ron arrived at North's house and learned of his former role (the one that he refused to let go of), North attempted to train Ron into becoming a new Fearless Ferret. Although Ron was excited at first, he eventually came to his senses and, with Kim's help, tried to help North realize that it was time to move on from his TV life.

Timothy North is voiced by none other than Adam West, the very man who North's character was based on (right down to the similarities of their names).

[edit] Zita Flores

Zita has been in two episodes. She is of Hispanic background and interested in the computer game Everlot and in Ron. She appears to have been his first serious girlfriend. Appears in episodes Grudge Match and Virtu-Ron.

Voiced by Nika Futterman

[edit] Rides

Minor characters in Kim's network. They typically play no other prominent role beside bringing Kim to her destination. As of Season 4, the use of rides has dwindled due to Kim now having her own vehicle, but they're still in use for when the car is incapacitated.

  • Baxter
In Mind Games, he let Kim and Ron ride two of his donkeys down into the Grand Canyon in return for Kim performing an emergency delivery for his donkey, Buttercup (in the dark, in the rain, and during a mudslide).

He was voiced by Dan Castellaneta.
  • Bernice
She gave Kim a ride in Naked Genius for saving her town from a leaking dam. She gave Kim another ride in Team Impossible. She apparently has started working with jets since then.

She voiced by Nancy Cartwright who also does the voice of Rufus.
  • Britina
She gave Kim a ride in Crush via private jet. She has also been mentioned several times. She appears to be a spoof off of current pop stars, most notably Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson as indicated by her name, with the second part almost certainly taken from rival Christina Aguilera. Britina also had a romantic relationship and highly publicized break-up with Nicky-Nick from the Oh Boyz, similar to the highly publicized relationship and break-up of Britney Spears and 'N Sync member Justin Timberlake. Also, in episode Team Impossible, Britina was seen on the Team Impossible base. She appeared again in the Season 4 episode, Trading Faces, where she gets framed by new villainess Camille Leon for robbery.

She was voiced by Tara Strong.
  • Captain Louis
Captain Louis gave Ron a ride to Dr. Drakken's base in the episode A Very Possible Christmas. We learn that Kim saved his boat from sinking, but that Ron exacerbated the trouble by busting the radio and using the navigational chart as a napkin. Fortunately, Louis could not remember Ron's full name, nor especially what he looked like.

He was voiced by John DiMaggio, who also voiced Drakken and Motor Ed.
  • Dallas
She gave Kim a lift to Mount Middleton in Attack of the Killer Bebes.
  • Mr. Geminini
He worked for Doctor Bortle. He gave Kim, Ron, and the tweebs a ride to Bortle's lab in The Twin Factor. He's a twin too, but his brother is in prison.

He was voiced by Dan Castellaneta.
  • Gustavo
Gustavo gave Kim and Ron a ride in his plane in Tick-Tick-Tick for saving his village from a flood.
  • Heinrich
He gave Kim a ride in Crush. He made a reappearance in Team Impossible.
He is voiced by John DiMaggio, who also voiced Drakken and Motor Ed.
  • M.C. Honey
A rapper loosely based on Queen Latifah and other lady rappers. She gave Kim a ride in her yacht for retrieving her demo tape when it got stolen in Hidden Talent. She made reappearances in Rappin' Drakken and Trading Faces when she was also framed by new villaness Camille Leon.
She is voiced by Sherri Sheppard.
  • Mr. Magnifico
In Bonding, Mr. Magnifico and his circus company gave Kim a ride to a "top secret research facility" on their train. This was in return for Kim acting as a substitute high-wire acrobat after the original acrobat twisted her ankle.
  • Mrs. Mahoney
Mrs. Mahoney gave Kim her first ride ever for a mission, as seen in A Sitch in Time.
  • Mr. Parker
In Bueno Nacho, Mr. Parker flew Kim to Wisconsin in his crop duster, allowing her to paradrop onto the world's biggest cheese wheel.
  • Ricardo
In Gorilla Fist, Ricardo gave Kim a ride to South America in his plane for saving his chicken farm from a mudslide. Presumably, she dried up the mud with her cordless hair dryer.
  • Unnamed Marine Colonel, He gave Kim a ride to Cambodia in a military transport plane in Monkey Fist Strikes after she tipped him of to an assault that was due take place.
