[edit] Football player career
He played for several clubs, including Deportivo La Coruña and Valencia CF, both in the Spanish First Division. While playing for Deportivo, he infamously missed a penalty in the last minute of injury time of the final game of the 1993-1994 season which, if scored, would have won the match and given the club their first Spanish title.
[edit] International career
He played for FR Yugoslavia (49 matches/2 goals) and was a participant at the 1998 FIFA World Cup and at the 2000 UEFA European Football Championship.
[edit] Coaching career
Đukić is the coach of Serbian national under-21 football team, with which he qualified to the 2007 European Chapionship final tournament in dramatic fashion versus Sweden u-21s - after losing 0-3 at home in Novi Sad, the Serbian team demolished their opposition 5-0 away in the return leg.
Since early 2007, Đukić is also the head coach of Partizan Belgrade.
