Mirror of Twilight

The Mirror of Twilight is a fictional circular mirror, that when reflected onto a large stone tablet it creates a means of banishment or transportation to the Twilight Realm.
It is also a fictional quest item in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It is kept in Gerudo Desert, specifically the Mirror Chamber located in the Arbiter's Grounds. Long ago, it was used to seal Ganondorf into the Twilight Realm and was then shattered by Zant to prevent anyone from willingly enter again, but due to his false kingship, was not able to shatter the mirror completely. Only the true heir to the twilight throne could shatter the mirror and was done so by Midna after both the Light Realm and Twilight Realm were saved. She cracked the mirror with a tear and only after being fully transported to the Twilight Realm, did the mirror shatter, sealing off the roads between The Light World and The Twilight Realm. It is unknown whether the Twilight Portals have dissapeared, for it is nearly impossible for Link and Zelda to have left, because the dungeon room entrance is one-way. It is thought that this is simply a plot element and that it was one way only according to the game programming in order to prevent the character from leaving the room during a boss fight.
