Summary
I'm a misanthropic, unreformed former Richmonder living in Northern Virginia.
I like movies, comic books, military history, and wombats. I also enjoy long walks on the beach and destroying the undead with ruthless and deadly efficiency.
Some of my personal heroes in life are Bruce Campbell, the Flaming Carrot, Guy Gardner, Captain Marvel, John Singleton Mosby, Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S. Grant, St. Jean de Brebeuf, St. Isaac Jogues, the Juggernaut , and St. Thomas More.
Etymology
Starting around 1997, my online alter-ego was "Mister Furious", after the Iron City superhero from Flaming Carrot Comics:
"He's so angry, he's bulletproof!"
Around 2001, I changed it to "Mister Jinxy" as an homage to the supposedly brilliant housecat in Meet The Parents, who was able to use a toilet and shake hands, but lacked opposable thumbs and outdoor survival skills and was unable to flush a toilet.
