[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Big Four of Thrash Metal
In addition to being inaccurately named, as it covers only three bands, the entire premise of the Project is entirely POV by its definition of the "Big Four", particularly without providing any substantiation of that opinion. John Carter 19:29, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
You can go ahead and delete it John Carter, I'm making a broader Wikipedia:WikiProject Thrash Metal. It didn't work out the way I had planned due to Slayers wikiproject. That is why I could only include 3 bands; otherwise it is named perfectly accurately. I learned a lot from making it and I would not be too sad to see it go. Thank You, Adumbvoget 20:49, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- Comment Seems like the coverage is actually focused on "American Thrash Metal" (as stated on the front page. Perhaps a broader scope would be appropriate for the four project participants and a simple re-name (with, perhaps, a larger corresponding focus) to Wikipedia:WikiProject Thrash Metal or Wikipedia:WikiProject American Thrash Metal? A broader project may encourage greater participation... -- Scientizzle 20:20, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thrash Metal I'll take Scientizzle‘s idea into effect and create Wikipedia:WikiProject Thrash Metal. Adumbvoget 20:49, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- If you are doing that, then I would suggest that probably the best way to do it would be to move the existing project pages to those of the new name, and make whatever required changes in the text need to be made to indicate the broader scope. John Carter 20:57, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thrash Metal It's broader and the name was clumsy anyway. Adamravenscroft 21:22, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thrash Metal has a much larger scope. Sounds good. Doppelganger 21:55, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
