[edit] 4G92
The 4G92 displaces 1.6 L (1597 cc) and is available with either SOHC or DOHC or MIVEC DOHC versions. Power output can be as high as 172 hp, as found in the Mirage Cyborg-ZR. A Modular Displacement (MD) version of the 4G92 MIVEC was also produced – MD is Mitsubishi's cylinder deactivation system which helps improve fuel consumption.

[edit] 4G93
The 1.8 L (1834 cc) 4G93 is also available in both SOHC and DOHC versions. Turbocharged variants are also produced. The 4G93 was the first modern gasoline direct injection engine on its introduction in August 1996, and Mitsubishi produced over a million GDI engines. The SOHC 4G93 provides 86 kW at 6000 rpm and redlines at 6500 rpm
Applications:
- Mitsubishi Galant
- Mitsubishi Legnum
- Mitsubishi Aspire
- Mitsubishi RVR
- Mitsubishi Pajero iO
- Mitsubishi Carisma
- Mitsubishi Space Star
- Mitsubishi Lancer
- Mitsubishi Colt
- Proton Satria GTi
- Proton Putra
- Volvo S40
- Volvo V40
[edit] 4G94
The 4G94 is a 2.0 L version built in Japan. Bore is 81.5 mm and stroke is 95.8 mm. It is used in the Mitsubishi Lancer. Output is 120 hp (89 kW) at 5500 rpm with 130 ft·lbf (176 N·m) of torque at 4250 rpm. It has a cast iron engine block and aluminum SOHC cylinder heads. It uses MFI fuel injection, has four valves per cylinder and features forged steel connecting rods.
