Moeneeb Josephs (born May 19, 1980 in Cape Town, Western Cape) is a football (soccer) goalkeeper who is currently the number one and captain at the South African club Bidvest Wits. Josephs is a highly-rated goalkeeper in South Africa, and has in the past been linked with a move to numerous major European clubs. Josephs has also played at international level for South Africa.
His ability to kick with both feet, play as a sweeper and distribute the ball comfortably are some of his traits.
He is also one of the few Muslim players in the PSL.
Josephs signed for Bidvest Wits during the 2006/2007 off-season. He joined Ajax CT in 1999 from the smaller Cape Town club Cape Town Spurs.
