Mohamed Latif

Mohamed Latif (b. 23 October 1909) was an Egyptian professional footballer who played for the clubs Al-Zamalek of Egypt and Rangers F.C. of Scotland,[1] as well as for the Egyptian national team.
Latif helped the Egyptian national team qualify to the 1934 World Cup, scoring three goals against Palestine during the qualification rounds.[2] He also played at the finals tournament in Egypt's only match, against Hungary.
After the World Cup, Latif was brought to Glasgow by Egypt's national coach, the Scotsman James McRea.[3] He played his only Scottish League match against Hibs in the 1935-36 season.[4]
In 1936, he was part of the Egyptian team that played in the Olympic tournament in Berlin.
