[edit] Early life
Elfitory was born in Geneina, in Darfur, currently West Darfur State. His mother Aziza Ali Sa'eid originally from Egypt and her family moved to Libya and then to Darfur , Sudan. Elfitory's father moved from Libya to Darfur before the First World War, under the pressure of Italyian Colonial.

Elfitory got his education in Egypt, Alexandria, where he joined Al -mahad el-dinnai or Religion Institute, then Elfitory moved to Cairo and joined Al-Azahr, Faculty of Science. Elfitory work as editor in many Sudanese and Egyptian newspapers. Elfitory appointed as expert in Arab League (1968-1970), and also as cultural Consultant in Libya Embassy in Italy and also consultant and ambassador in Libya Embassy in Lebanon and also as consultant at Libyaembassy in Moroco. He is a member of the Union of Arab Writers.
