Not only the computer but many other electronic devices are being used to commit, enable, and support crimes and when we are talking about crimes we mean the wide meaning of crimes, perpetrated against persons, organizations, property. Whether the crime involves attacks against computer systems, the information they contain, or more traditional crimes such as murder, money laundering, trafficking, or fraud, electronic evidence increasingly is involved.

Digital Forensic sometimes known as Computer Forensics or high-tech forensics can be refer to the same definition as we can define it "Computer forensics is the scientific examination and analysis of data held on, or retrieved from, computer storage media in such a way that the information can be used as evidence in a court of law".
And it’s important from the start to know that the digital forensics is not just for computers but all electronic devices SIM cards, mobile phones, CDs, DVDs, Network Servers, any device can be have Data stored on it in some way, and this data can be used as evidence in the court of law.
