Talk:Molly Hayes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There may be some discussion as to whether Molly is in fact a mutant or not.
While her powers are innate, it was noted when she first used her abilities by her mother that she had tested negative for the x-factor, definitive among true mutants.
Also, her powers seem to work similarly to her parents own abilities (glowing eyes when using them and presumably psionic in nature), despite the differences in their actual applications. It may be that Molly's parents were not aware of a potential telekinetic aspect of their powers just as Molly has yet to understand her potential telepathic abilities. This may mean that she has not mutated from her parents genome, rather is just their offspring, sharing common traits, much like Siren does with Banshee.
Finally, though not conclusive in itself, Molly's abilities manifested at an age earlier than most mutant abilities manifest. While alone, it is easily explained away, it does lend credence to the possibility that Molly simply possesses the same abilities as her parents and did not require the conventional circumstances for x-gene related manifestations (which she apparenlty lacks anyway).

My apologies. My name is Case Aiken. As to whether or not the article be changed, I think it may be worth including the anamolies in a discussion of the source of her powers (much like what is doen in the Spider-Girl article).
I put up a header to explain how to sign your comments properly. As for your suggest, I'm open for it. -- Majin Gojira 17:36, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
