[edit] Plot Summary
Mon beau-frère a tué ma sœur is a parody of the popular French 'policier' genre. Octave Clapoteau (Michel Serrault) and Etienne Sembadel (Michel Piccoli) are two ageing academics. One evening they dine with a student Esther Bouloire (Juliette Binoche). Much to their amusment she announces that her brother in law has killed her sister. The two men are entranced by this beautiful but mad young woman and agree to investigate her claims, mainly to try and win her hand. When they meet her powerful uncle Joceyln (Jean Carmet) and dead bodies begin to appear they quickly realise they may be involved in something very sinister.
