When Peter finds a strange message in his fortune cookie at a Chinese restaurant, the Monkees find themselves embroiled in an international espionage scheme.

This would be the first appearance of the Monkees in superhero outfits, called "Monkeemen." The group would don the outfits at least one more time for the episode I Was a 99 lb Weakling, and the Monkeemen would be mentioned again in the episode The Frodis Caper.
A clip of the Monkees "flying" as Monkeemen from this episode would be used in the second-season opening credits.
