This would be the first appearance of the Monkees in superhero outfits, called "Monkeemen." The group would don the outfits at least one more time for the episode I Was a 99 lb Weakling, and the Monkeemen would be mentioned again in the episode The Frodis Caper.
A clip of the Monkees "flying" as Monkeemen from this episode would be used in the second-season opening credits.
