Montanazhdarcho minor Padian, de Ricqlès & Horner 1995 |
Montanazhdarcho is a Late Cretaceous (Campanian) azhdarchid of North America known from only one species, M.minor. Only parts of the wing of this pterosaur have been found. Compared to other azhdarchids, this pterosaur was small; the fragments of humerus, radius, and carpal suggest an animal with a 2.5m wingspan only. Its ulna was of equal or greater length compared to the wing metacarpal.
It was described in 1995 by Kevin Padian, Armand de Ricqlès & Jack Horner.
