Monteverdi Marittimo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pisa in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 80 km southwest of Florence and about 60 km southeast of Pisa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 731 and an area of 98.7 km2.[1]
The municipality of Monteverdi Marittimo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Canneto, Gualda, and Pratella.
Monteverdi Marittimo borders the following municipalities: Bibbona, Castagneto Carducci, Montecatini Val di Cecina, Monterotondo Marittimo, Pomarance, Sassetta, Suvereto.
