- This article is about the Digimon, from the fictional anime series. For the Japanese playwright, see Chikamatsu Monzaemon.
Monzaemon is an Ultimate Level Puppet Digimon that likes to play with children. In the first American release of the Digimon virtual pets, he was known as Tedimon/Teddymon. If a virus affects him, he becomes WaruMonzaemon. Monzaemon is also the only Digimon whose name is written in Hiragana (except for the -mon suffix, which is written in Katakana); all other Digimon names are completely written in Katakana. He is named after Chikamatsu Monzaemon.

Monzaemon (called Teddymon) was one of the three ultimate digivolutions for Botamon in the Digimon Battle Pet game released by Bandai in 1997. The other two ultimate-level Digimon available were MetalGreymon and Mamemon.

The first Monzaemon seen captured all the DigiDestined except for Mimi and Palmon and took them to Toy Town where the toys played with them. Mimi and Palmon tried fighting him, even when the Numemon tried to take him down, before Palmon Digivolved to Togemon and beat the Black Gear out of him. Later on, a Monzaemon is seen as a customer at Vegiemon and Digitamamon's diner.

A Monzaemon was among the Digimon that crashed Matt's concert at Christmas. When Digimon started to appear in the Real World after that, a Monzaemon was seen in New York. A Monzaemon was among the Digimon seen during the final battle against MaloMyotismon.

A Monzaemon was seen on a floating island (one smaller than usual) of toys that Takuya, Koji and Tommy landed on. The ShadowToyAgumon Leader turned Monzaemon into WaruMonzaemon and he kidnapped Tommy. After Agunimon and Lobomon purified and reverted the ShadowToyAgumon back to ToyAgumon, WaruMonzaemon was seen back as a Monzaemon for some unknown reason. Some Monzaemon were seen at the Fortune Teller Village, the Autumn Leaf Fairone and the Great Trailmon Race.

Monzaemon digivolves from Frigimon and Mojyamon, and can digivolve further into Jijimon.
