Mound House is a small but growing town in Lyon County, Nevada. The majority of light industry in Lyon County is located in Mound House and this industry provides the biggest source of tax revenue for the County. Mound House is the future site of the National Wild Horse and Burro museum and from time to time wild horse are still visable roaming the surrounding hills. The reconstruction of the V&T railroad is currently taking place which will offer riders a scenic trip from the Comstock of Virginia City down through the pinion hills of Mound House with a final destination of Carson City, the state capitol.
