MSN Video
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
MSN Video is an internet video download service created and run by Microsoft. It features various content, including music videos, JibJab, IFILM picks and other viral videos, original content, TV shows such as Arrested Development, and news shorts. It also hosted the semi-finalists for Film Your Issue. MSN Soapbox is a new invitation-only beta service under the family of MSN Video products.
MSN Soapbox has been a major contributor to the confusion of MSN / Live products. Originally it was believed that MSN was going to be news and statistic based portal whilst Live was more community, personal and generally "Web 2.0" based services. According to these rules it should be branded as a Live product, the reason why it is not is unknown however it has led to speculation of the back-tracking of "Live" to go back to the traditional MSN brand - this could be part of the "January Effect" from the MSN team.
