Municipal Reform Party

The Municipal Reform Party was a local party allied to the parliamentary Conservative Party which contested the elections to the London County Council and held power there from 1907 to 1934 when the Labour Party under Herbert Morrison gained control [1].
Members of the Party included:
- Frank Goldsmith, representative for South St. Pancras (1904-1910) and whip of the party (grandfather of Zac and Jemima Goldsmith).
- Cecil Levita, chairman of the London County Council 1928-9 (great-great uncle of David Cameron).
- Ronald Collet Norman, chairman of the London County Council 1918-19.
- Richard Robinson, leader of the London County Council 1907-8.
- Harold Webbe, leader of the party for 12 years.
