Murder at the Vanities

Murder at the Vanities (1934) is a film released by Paramount Pictures, directed by Mitchell Leisen, starring Carl Brisson, Jack Oakie, Kitty Carlisle, and Gertrude Michael, and featuring Duke Ellington and his Orchestra. The film is a musical, based on Earl Carroll's Vanities, combined with a murder mystery. Songs include Cocktails for Two sung by Brisson and Sweet Marijuana sung by Michael. Lucille Ball has a small role as a chorus girl.
