Murno Gladst is a Canadian actor, film maker, artist, musicianand children's story writer
He was born November 25, 1957 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. His father was a convicted killer, and his mother an elderly housekeeper. As a child, he consistantly strove to disrupt the natural balence between mankind and nature. After moving to Toronto at the age of twelve to manage a trainyard with his friend and ally Garrold Shump, Gladst had a revelation about his identity which lead to the publication of his first children's novel: I Wish You Weren't so Lovely. After publication, Murno was forced to deal with the demands on his time which fame can bring. For the majority of his teen's Gladst drank to excess on a frequent basis and now describes the time as "jumping into bed with your innards, expecting to find God." After a near-fatal attempted suicide at age nineteen, Gladst had another revelation which again prompted a children's novel. This one, entitled: You're Not my Favorite Grandmother brought a volumous level of critiscism to Gladst and his publisher. Reviewers described the novel as vulgar and "not in the least suitable for a young person to read" (Marrie, 1978). Dealing with issues such as child abuse and substance abuse, Gladst responded to his critics by stating the he was interested in telling children about the truth, rather than "candy-coating the misery of existance". This did not appease the critics, who were largely responsible for destroying copies of the book in such vast numbers that a copy of Gladst's second novel can gather as much as $1000 at auction.
Critiscism did not restrain Murno Gladst. He continued to publish children's novels, as well as some larger picture books, using vile characters who employ crass language and harsh insult to convey the story.
Now largely ignored by his peers, Murno Gladst is still publishing. His recent works - due to their offensive nature - are often overlooked.
In his free time, he enjoys gliding, playing the piano, singing, and laughing.

Murno Gladst has written twenty children's stories to date. - "Mr. Gibson Dies" - The story of an abductee who slowly dies while his captor taunts him.
- "Don't Eat The Chad Hodge Apples" - A story of a mother who accidentally kills her father, then births a child who exhibits remarkable traits like her father.

As a way of avoiding the criticsism which invariably comes with his name, Murno Gladst has adopted a number of pseudonyms (alter-ego's), under which names he produces more work. Pablo Woman - a musician creating largely in an improvised state. Allen Zyxter - a politician who artificially runs in various elections with psychotic mandates.
