Mykolas Kęsgaila

Mykolas Kęsgaila Valimantaitis (died between 1451 and 1452) was a Lithuanian nobleman, a precursor of the Kęsgailos family. Mykolas Kęsgaila was the Elder of Samogitia in 1412 - 1432, 1440 - 1441, and 1443 - 1450. He was also the castellan of Vilnius in 1443 - 1448. He participated in the conclusion of the Skirsnemunė Treaty in 1431. He was imprisoned since he supported the accession of Švitrigaila to the Lithuanian throne. He was a father of Jonas Kęsgaila.
