For info : Another image, very similar to this one, appears in The Films of Myrna Loy, by Lawrence J. Quirk, Citadel Press, 1980. ISBN: 0806507357. Although in a different pose, Loy is wearing the same costume, hair is identical etc, so it's obviously from the same series/sitting/photographer. In the book, Loy's picture is superimposed over another photograph of Betty Compson and Monte Blue from the 1930 film Isle of Escape. The caption reads in part "Loy, seductive in her composographed figure, is draped across a still, obviously intended for ad purposes". No copyright holder is identified.
