Mythical Records

Mythical Records is an experimental music record label, which focuses on modern classical music and experimental electronic music. The label was started by four female friends who attended the Juilliard School of Music and befriended one another at the university. A common vision was shared by the artists, noticing a great amount of world class talented classical composers becoming increasingly interested in electronic music composition, but there did not seem to be many labels releasing this style of music. The roster of musicians on this label are often classified as avant garde or experimental. Some of the larger bands on the label include The synthetic dream foundation, Spitting dragon and Abandoned toys. Many of the bands on the label are well known within the ambient music scene, but this label releases primarily classical influenced works by the composers.
