Arctodontomys huwa ġeneru ta' mammiferi plaċentati estinti, eżattament uħud mill-mammiferi li huma l-aktar relatati fil-qrib mal-primati il-familja tax-xadini, jekk mhux saħansitra, l-prekursuri tagħhom.
Dan il-ġeneru qiegħed ikklassifikata fil-klassi Mammalia, fis-sottoklassi Theria, fl-infraklassi Eutheria (il-plaċentati), fis-superordni Euarchontoglires u fl-ordni Plesiadapiformes u fis-superfamilja Paramomyoidea u fil-familja Microsyopidae u fis-sottofamilja Microsyopinae, ma' 3 ġeneri oħra li huma Craseops, Megadelphus u Microsyops.
