[edit] Game Description
It is an immersive and interactive experience. The player enters the gameboard and takes the main role in the adventure.
In a physical indoor space, an adventure is recreated throughout different rooms and scenes. The player must go through the scenes, interacting with the environment to accomplish the goals of the game. To achieve this, the player must prove his physical skills, cleverness and imagination, in the different challenges that the player will face at each room. Player actions during the game will build his unique story, thus it is a dynamic adventure where points, goals and life will influence the success of his mission.
Before entering the game, each player is given a small wristband computer which allows him to interact with the environment. It also allows the system to gather information about user actions using different technologies like RFID, radiofrequency and infrared, among others. All the game is built on a state of the art technology which allows the system to position, track and interact with every user in real-time.
The game does not end at the physical location. The adventure goes on in the Internet and the cellular phones. This way the player may keep getting more points, tools and clues that will help him in future game missions, and will allow every player to become part of the interactive real game community..
[edit] History
Négone was created by the Spanish company DifferendGames, S.A., founded in 2002. Eighteen months after its foundation, in July 2003, the first interactive real game location was opened.First Négone game was named “La Maquina” (The Machine) and located at a Shopping Mall on the south of Madrid. This was the version 1.0.
The results yielded by this first game allowed the company to evolve the product to its version 2.0, which was deployed in Madrid downtown on 27th October 2005, near the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Next Négone will be version 3.0, which is expected to include other environments like cell phones, Internet, and will feature in-game physical robots.
[edit] Négone “The Escape” (“La Fuga”)
The game has more than 20 rooms/scenes, that replicate a futuristic 31st century prison, named Mazzinia. The rooms get a full atmosphere with its aesthetic, lighting and sound effects, achieving an amazing immersion feeling on the players.
The World of “The Escape”
The storyline bring us to the 31st century. We are being held prisoners in the most secure prison in the world, and we must escape. In this future a global institution governs the whole earth, using sophisticated control mechanisms over all human beings. They arrest everyone under suspicion of questioning any of the imposed traits. Thinking, Feeling and Doubting is a crime. Mazzinia is the perfect prison where technology and maximum security systems became one.
The Game
Every player gets at the entrance a small wristband unit and a personal card. Using that card, the player can load his personal adventure in the wrist unit.
At the beginning of the game the player is led to a set of cells. The adventure starts there. Going throughout the garbage dumps, service areas and decontamination rooms the player has to reach the forbidden areas like the laboratory, the arsenal (which is full of laser beams that must be avoided) or the vital system (a ball pool where there is not obvious exit).
All the challenges the players find in their way require concentration, imagination and talent, besides a quick mind because they time is limited. Anyway, not everything is against them, a rebel hackers group called Free Mazzinia Command, offers help from the outside. Following their directions the player have, perhaps, and opportunity to escape.
