N24 (Germany)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
N24 is a German television station that broadcasts news and shows documentary in cooperation with the Discovery Channel. It is owned by the ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG conglomerate.
[edit] History
N24 was founded in February 1999. During that time, it was fully owned by the two major German TV-Stations, Pro 7 and Sat 1, which belong to the ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. N24's first airing was on January 24, 2000. In 2004, N24 was redesigned in hope to make the channel similar to common American news-channels.
The running slogan of the redesigned N24, in German, is "Wir kommen zur Sache," or, in English, "we get to the point."
